Winter has arrived and if you are trying to maintain any kind of waistline, you will be opting for the lighter options over the stodge. I love stodge as much as the next person but I do like to maintain my body instead of yo-yoing up and down with every season. Not only is it depressing, it’s not in line with the natural balance of your body.
Enter Cauli “steaks”
Now when I say steaks, don’t get overly excited, I mean a thick cut of cauli! Sorry, tricked ya!
Cut cauli into thick pieces then blanch for 3-5 mins. Place in dish, dress them with a light dusting of fennel and smoked paprika, a little drizzle of cream and sprinkle of cheese. Whack in oven (on 180) till cooked through and brown on top (roughly 20-25 mins).
