Hands up if you like Chips or Crisps?

MEEEEEEEEE!

We all like a chip now and there right? However most gourmet chips (Kettle, Red Rock Deli, etc) contain loads of saturate fat and calories. Not a good idea if you are trying to fit into a bikini for summer.

In my quest to make the world a healthier place and because it was too bloody freezing to leave the house, I made my own. I was not surprised, as everything I touch in the kitchen seems to turn to gold, that they tasted even better than the packet variety! Who would have thought..well me, I am a great inventor after all. Hahaha!

Typical packet contains (Red rock olive oil sea salt and rosemary)

My Notato Chips

340 cals per 200g

Preheat oven to 200 degrees celeius

Grab your mandolin or v-slicer (so handy in the kitchen for all your wafer thin slicing) slice 100g of kumera and 100g of potato. You can use other vegetables such as zuchinni, eggplant, beetroot. Be creative.

Place all the pieces of potato and kumera in a bowl, drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and a grind of salt and pepper. Don’t forget to add your favourite herb too. Then place on a non-stick tray. Bake until crisp and golden (10-15mins)
