Now before you think you need a science degree to work this one out, think again! If you have a leftover avocado skin with a little avo goo left on the inside then you’ve got yourself a nourishing avocado face mask.
I believe, with natural beauty, that is should be relatively easy. No one wants to replace there current beauty routine with something that is harder than their previous one- it doesn’t make sense. Some recipes are ridiculously complicated and therefore are a no go for me. I’m prepared for effort but I’m not sourcing my ingredients from the Andes mountains nor do I want to pay through the nose from a rare breed of herb to add to a recipe. Ain’t nobody got time for that!
Let’s crack on.
You’ll need the skins (shell) of an avocado with a little green avocado remnants and a knife or spatula. Scrape the avocado out of the skin and whack directly onto your skin. If you are new to this-do a patch test just in case. Leave on for 10-15 mins then wash off with water. If needed, follow through with a spritz of rose water and oils. Depending on how dry your skin is, you may find you don’t even need to tone and moisturise after your avo mask. It may simply be overkill, you know your skin so apply the “wait and see approach”.
This mask is great after too much sun or if you notice your skin is particularly dry. It seems to instantly pop hydration back into your skin. Ain’t avo wonderful?!
