Organisational Tips To Give You More Time

Organisational Tips To Give You More Time

What’s the harm in a little organisation, aye?

It frees up time, allows us to feel less cluttered and makes us feel like the boss of our universe.

It’s these little things that set you up for the day- productive, efficient and calm

Organise work outfits for the whole week

Hanging up your work outfits (mine is activewear all day, errryday) for the week on a Sunday so as to take out those moments spent asking “what should I wear today?”
The 15-20 mins spent doing it on a Sunday can mean you get an extra workout in during the week or means you have time to make a quick breakfast smoothie before you head out the door. It allows you to pull some really great options/styles together that you might not have time for usually during the week. It’s little effort for a BIG reward

Meal Prep

It only needs to be frozen fruit with some green veg in freezer bags that can then be chucked in the blender and made into smoothies or a large dish of a slow cooker meal or boiled eggs or boiled rice or roasted sweet potato that cuts down your time spent in the kitchen for the week. You save on takeaway meals and again the holy grail- more time to do what you love.

Stop shopping everyday

Daily grocery shopping can take up at least 30 minutes of your time each day, especially if you have to shop when everyone else does say after work and self check out means nothing- what’s up with those people who can’t use those checkouts (arghhhh!). Instead, aim to spend a short time once a week (shouldn’t take you more than 15-20 minutes) writing out a meal ideas list for the week. It doesn’t mean you HAVE TO stick to these meals only but it gives you are idea of what you’ll need grocery wise for the week. Do your big shop for the week and then get cooking.

Put yo shit away!

It’s publicly known that I’m not the worlds best housewife BUT I am a fan of really trying hard to put stuff away where it belongs after each time I use it. Just that 10-20 minutes spent folding clothes, packing the dishwasher, tidying up the bathroom or office and the rest of our *insert mundane daily chore here* means that your entire living space is less cluttered and more organised. If it helps get yourself baskets/drawer organisers to place in your wardrobe, laundry, kitchen, office or car. The 10 minute blitz each day means less time on the weekly clean up and not a whole day spent procrastinating on household duties.
